Stan is a Principal, CPA, at Jamison Hanson. He is dedicated to building strong client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor, helping individuals and businesses understand their tax situations with clarity and confidence. He goes beyond traditional CPA responsibilities by assisting clients with a broad range of questions and financial considerations. Committed to the future of the profession, he actively promotes accounting as a career and has spoken to high school business students about opportunities in the field.
His accounting career began with his first tax season in 1970, and he became a partner in a firm in 1980. In 2023, his firm transitioned into Jamison Hanson, where he has embraced the shift from firm owner to employee, finding the experience both smooth and rewarding. He enjoys the collaborative environment and values working alongside his team.
Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in his community. He served as President of the Keizer Chamber of Commerce and contributed to several advisory boards, including the Urban Renewal District and the City Planning Commission. During his eight years of service, he witnessed key infrastructure improvements, such as those on River Road and Chemawa Road, and in the early development of Keizer Station.
In addition to his civic involvement, he has been active in his church, serving on numerous boards and as Congregational President. He has also been a longstanding member of the Oregon Society of CPAs, where he contributed for over 20 years to both the Continuing Education Committee and the Farming/Agriculture Conference Committee, and served as a trustee for the OSCPA medical insurance plan.
Outside of his professional and community work, he enjoys spending time with his wife enhancing their yard with flowers and relaxing together on their patio. He has a passion for cooking, baking, and barbecuing- especially trying new recipes. In the evenings, he and his wife enjoy singing karaoke, even having a karaoke setup at home for their enjoyment.
